Courtney Green is a versatile artist and performer who earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with a minor in psychology with Honors recognition at George Mason University in May of 2025.
Her performance career includes two original works by Christina Robson, Groundswell and Something Like a Sunday, and the restaging of works by Lawrence Jackson and Karen Reedy. Green performed the restaging of Lawrence Jackson’s Come Sunday among Mason’s live orchestra at George Mason University’s Arts By George event. Most recently, she was part of Karen Reedy’s restaged duet Path Of Attraction which was performed at George Mason’s Center for the Arts and Harris Theatre in Fairfax, Virginia. Member of the original cast, Green assisted in the restaging of Sloan Daley’s work Let It Fall Apart at Charles J. Colgan Sr. High School in Manassas, Virginia. Green earned her spot on the College of Visual and Performing Arts Dean’s List throughout her collegiate career.
She is known for her strong work ethic and commitment to her craft where she seeks to inspire others while being inspired by those around her. This is evident in her undergraduate career at GMU where she choreographed two original works in collaboration with her peers titled Freefall and Flint.
In 2024, Green expanded her experience with dance overseas when she spent a month in France where she immersed herself among various studios and artists throughout Paris as part of Florida State University’s Dance In Paris Summer Program.
Courtney is currently earning her beginner mat pilates certification through PowerPilates and plans to further her knowledge within this field in the future.
